Sad consequences and glitter disaster

It seems like whatever I've wanted lately has had unpleasant and unexpected side effects.

I wanted to go to bed earlier than usual before the cruise.

The result: my spouse's phone broke because it couldn't handle the fast charging.

I wanted to get Viaplay when ski jumping season started.

The result: adjusting for many hours, and even going to the bank was a threat.

I wanted the right time for my VHS recorder.

The result: it turned out that the batteries in the remote control had leaked badly. I had to look online for instructions on how to clean the battery residue.

I wanted to clean my glasses better than usual.

The result: it turned out that there were maggots in the kitchen drawer. I had to clean it up and throw things in the trash.

And what harm could come from washing my own laundry with my spouse's shirts? Well, a little glitter came off the glitter dress despite the washing bag. There's glitter everywhere, of course, even on those shirts. I don't know if the dress is ruined, at least the glitter has faded.

In the wardrobe, the dress dripped glitter onto my underwear, so I had to move it to the wardrobe. I also think I'll have to throw away the cardboard cat scratching board since it's covered in glitter too.

I can't wear that dress to Christmas lunch at my mother's because I'd leave behind a terrible mess, and a few kilos of glitter.

The dress is probably about 13 years old, and I've never washed it before.
