Watching sports

It was that traditionally tough spring weekend again. I thought I wouldn't have to wake up early on the weekend, since Planica is only next weekend, but I was wrong. Now, in addition to the ski jumping, there was the World Indoor Athletics Championships.

Belgium won the mixed relay overwhelmingly, when USA and Netherlands fell in the first exchange because of Jamaica, Jamaica was then disqualified. Dylan Borlee and Doom were not on the team. They won the world championship right away when there are no Borlees on the team! Why didn't the others fall during Borlees' time?

On Sunday morning, I chose the wrong moment to go to the bathroom. While there, a terrible thought struck me: were those relays already there at this time? I rushed out of the bathroom, and there those boys were running the first heat of the 4 x 400m relay. Luckily, Belgium was only in the second heat. Dylan in the third leg and Doom as the anchor Belgium made it to the final by winning their heat.

Dylan Borlee married

But in the final Dylan didn't make the team, no wonder because he was the weakest link in the heats, and he's starting to get too old anyway. Is father Borlee still the national team coach who makes these choices? Apparently not. Is the Borlee era finally over? Am I no longer a Belgium fan? Silver for Belgium in the long relay.
